On 16th July a team of educators embarked on a journey that became a huge success! They held 10 episodes of AYU SPELLING BEE PROGRAMME.
The competition was conducted under SEGMEN KHAS AYU. Four teachers, Cikgu Aishah Harini as the head of the programme, Madam Gan , Cikgu Giri and Cikgu Filzah (from four different states) worked together to carry out this programme. This shows that remote learning and teaching can be made both fun and interesting when we are able to find creative ways to collaborate with other teachers to engage students' learning. The four teachers would have weekly late night meet ups via google meet to discuss the flow of the competition.

"There were many hiccups along the way but we were determined to get the programme going no matter what." Cikgu Giri commented after the final episodes as these teachers would still need to attend to their students via 'pdpr' and are involved in other commitments in their schools.
"We were able to help the students with their vocabulary and listening skills which would benefit them in their English Language subject in school." Cikgu Gan commented referring to the students' performance that seem to improve over the weeks during the competition.
"Very happy that the students and even teachers have shown us tremendous support by sharing and encouraging their students to take part in the programme" Cikgu Aishah thanking the parties that were involved in the programme. She aso thanked Akademi Youtuber Malaysia for giving the oppotunity and platform for this programme.
"Very happy to see the students have benefited from the competition. There were new students each week that participated to stand a chance to win the special prizes" commented Cikgu Filzah observing the number of student who registered for the competition. Almost 700 students from different states have registered for the programme.
The grand final was held on 17 September 2021
