A special Ponggal celebration was held on 20th January, 2023 (Friday)at the SMK Methodist ACS Ipoh assembly ground. It was organised by the ACS Hindu Society. Many students participated in the celebration. There were special performances like "Kolattam"and simple fashion show.
The ACS Hindu Society members also took part in the
competition like ponggal rice making, kolam drawing, tug of war and
"uriadithal"(breaking of earthen pots). Each competition in the Ponggal celebration
had its own set of rules to maintain fair play and a healthy rivalry.
It was fun for one and all and everyone had a good time.
