Sewa is important for Sikhs and Punjabis.
It is consider the highest service according to Sikh religion. Basically it is service of mankind without any reward. Indeed, it is a voluntary service for the benefit of humanity.
Sewa means 'selfless service'. It involves acting selflessly and helping others in a variety of ways. It is a way of life for majority Sikhs . We can even consider it as part of our daily routine .
"One who performs selfless service, without thought of reward, shall attain his Lord and Master".
